This remarkable water feature was created as part of a £3m regeneration project at the Grade II-listed Eastern Shelter.
Completed in 2014, the feature is made up of Forest of Dean sandstone blocks arranged to resemble an ammonite fossil. With mister jets being fed from the mains, the feature didn’t require any excavation for water tanks or a recirculating system. As a mist feature, it is a low water user for one this size and delivers safe water quality with low site maintenance.
BELOW: The mist created by the feature is mesmerising.

Accompanied by colour-changing led lights, it is activated by a control bollard and is programmed to create an ambient atmosphere in the evening and be clearly visible to visitors.
An original project for Mossfords, we’re proud to have contributed in beautifying this wonderful part of Barry Island.
