WESTERN CEMETERY, CARDIFF
Western Cemetery is a major cemetery located in Cardiff, South Wales. It was first opened in July 1936 and offers a wide range of grave types. Lawn memorials, traditional graves and cremated remains are just some of the memorials suitable for the cemetery. Traditional memorials are available for Muslim, Greek Orthodox and Jewish burials, and there is always a Jewish prayer house. One of the largest cemeteries in Cardiff, Western Cemetery also includes a garden for the scattering of cremated remains.
Western Cemetery in Cardiff is the resting place of 121 servicemen who lost their lives during the Second World War. The cemetery is home to three special war memorials to commemorate fourteen of these casualties who are buried in area that can no longer be maintained. These memorials also honour the lives of 22 servicemen who lost their lives in the First World War.

Please Note: On all Traditional Sections – may require kerbs or edgings to be fixed depending on the headstone required.
All memorials must be erected to meet the standards set by the National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM) and fixed by a memorial mason who is registered with the British Register of Approved Memorial Masons (BRAMM) www.bramm-uk.org
Ground anchor must be used on all memorials over 625mm in height
